I translate from French into English in the fields of international law, development, & humanitarian efforts; marketing & advertising; art & culture; and literature.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing (fiction & literary translation) from the University of British Columbia, an MPhil in English and Comparative Literature from Oxford University, and a BA in English with minors in French and Outdoor Education from Texas A&M University.  I was a Fulbright Scholar in France and studied abroad at the University of Caen.

I travel regularly to France, Québec, and other Francophone countries, and I volunteer for Translators without Borders.  I am a member of the American Translators Association, Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society, Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters, and American Literary Translators Association.

I have published translations of such fiction writers as André Belleau, Gilles LeRoy, Monique Proulx, and Larry Tremblay.  I also write short stories and essays, some of which are available here.

I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon.
